Back in the late ‘90s, Gwyneth Paltrow and Brad Pitt were engaged.

The pair were together from 1994 to 1997, with Gwyneth recalling in 2023 of Brad’s proposal: “One night we were on the balcony of this house we were renting in this little town in Argentina…I wish I remembered exactly what he said, but he proposed, it was fantastic, I was thrilled. We had talked about it, but I was surprised in the moment, I remember that. I must have been 24.”

Shortly after Gwyneth and Brad called off their engagement, he famously began dating Jennifer Aniston.

Of course, it wasn’t long before Brad and Jen were engaged, and by the year 2000, they were married.
Their marriage was ultimately short-lived, with the pair announcing their separation early in 2005.
And now, a new biography about Gwyneth’s life — titled Gwyneth: The Biography, by author Amy Odell — has shed light on her apparent reaction to Brad dating Jen soon after her.

According to E! News, Amy claims in the book that Gwyneth told her friends she felt sad when she found out that Brad and Jen had gotten engaged.

Amy also purportedly claims that Gwyneth enjoyed telling her friends that Brad had “terrible taste in women.”
